Investing in the Stock Exchange Activity
This PowerPoint introduces learners to shares in PLCs; so it's ideal for an activity after teaching this topic or for a fun activity at the end of a term, whilst still being linked to Business Studies.
 
Learners must invest £1,000 in up to three companies shown on the PowerPoint. The simulation takes their investment from June 2017 to September 2020 using real data from the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250.
 
For higher ability groups, or AS Level classes,  teachers may wish to allow learners to sell their investments after each round!
